Case Study 1 of 3
"Watermiser were superb to deal with from start to finish. Efficient and responsive right from the tendering process, they demonstrated a high level of professionalism throughout the entire works. Their engineers are very obviously highly trained and everything went smoothly, according to plan and on budget."
Mark Bean
Vear Group Senior Site Manager Critical Buildings
Founded in 1954, the Vear Group is one of the UK’s most experienced companies operating in the building industry. Watermiser won its first contract with Vear Building Services in 2008.
Vear appointed Watermiser to carry out an upgrade to the existing Watermiser cooling towers at an HSBC bank data centre in central London. The job involved removing non-standard drift eliminators which had previously been fitted to the towers by another company and supplying and installing new tower top sections. This included new pack, spray distribution systems and eliminators, to meet the additional duty requirements onsite.

Case Study 2 of 3
"Watermiser not only have knowledge and experience of the original installations and service history of our towers, they also keep very comprehensive records. This meant they were able to complete the necessary remedial work quickly, efficiently and to their usual high standard. Our towers are almost 30 years old, this is testament to the quality of the product and excellent maintenance from the Watermiser team. We have since awarded Watermiser a further inspection contract to ensure our towers continue to be maintained to the highest standard possisble."
Paula Bone
Building Manager
Strandbrook Ltd is a London based property management company. Watermiser supplied their original cooling towers in 1984 and has carried out their annual service work since. The local authority, Westminster Council, took the decision to use Watermiser towers onsite for Environmental Health training, due to the quality of the product, cleanliness and water treatment regime.
Working with Strandbrook’s facilities management company Donland Engineering Ltd, Watermiser carried out a detailed internal inspection on all 8 cooling tower cells. Our inspection report highlighted areas of concern long term, as well as immediate remedial work. Strandbrook requested a formal quotation for the repair works and awarded the contract to Watermiser almost immediately. We fulfilled this contract without delay, ensuring the towers were returned to optimum standard and performance.

Legal & General is a leading provider of risk, savings and investment management products in the UK. Established in 1836, they are responsible for investing £388 billion worldwide (2012). Watermiser had won the tender to supply their original cooling towers at their Surrey base 25 years ago.
Watermiser was appointed to replace Legal & General’s four existing cooling towers with modern equivalents which would fit perfectly into the roof enclosure. The job involved designing, manufacturing and installing four low noise, low height GRP cooling towers, complete with new pumps, RTDs and acoustic panels.
At the request of Legal and General, Watermiser in conjunction with the principal contractors Mace and Dornan air lifted the new cooling towers and various other ancillary equipment on to the main building roof via helicopter.
